The rain came down hard last night, destroying morale and equipment. Blankets, Sleeping Bags, cookies, paperwork, laptops, servers, cameras all soaked. The gazebo structure leaked, the legs fell, the banners came down. The line is in LA for a reason - it never rains. Its not supposed to at least.
Of course several people sensed the rain beforehand, and went home. The #3 person in line conveniently left. Thus a die-hard group of 9 people struggled through beating rain, slippery sidewalks, risk of electrical shock, and drenched non-rain clothing. We're all here on the other side, exhausted.
Credit to the amazing manufacturers of equipment here. Fuji Digital Cameras, Dell laptops, Shuttle PC, SBC DSL equipment, Cisco Routers, Panasonic DV... even with intense water exposure, everything still works. The line has certainly become the ultimate product test.
Life is boring without unexpected circumstances. The die-hards now have a story to tell.
Hey, hey, hey. Larry was sad, I was exhausted, etc. Trust me, if I had sensed the rain, I wouldn't have left my entire wardrobe out in the open. =P

I have been reading several different blogs talking about you guys and I just wanted to tell you that I think and plenty people like me, think you are being plain stupid about all this. If its showing on another theater go and camp on the other theater for gonds sake and dont make yourselves the laughing stock of the whole world, its just terribly pathetic, really. It only gives ideas to people that people you like star wars are freaks that dont have much brains to start with and that is just plain wrong. Its just only weirdos like you people that give the rest of us bad names because you do these silly stunts and get into the media. So yeah, now a normal person who just happens to say, oh I like scifi, specially star wars is looked upon as submental. Yeah, great boys, thanks from all the normal IQ people. Geez.
